There"s a reason why You Who Came from the Stars had fans watching each episode while sitting on the edge of their seats every week and peeking out their windows after the show aired, hoping for their own personal alien invasion. With Antoine de Saint-Exupéry"s The Little Prince references woven here và there throughout the story, this drama has everything you could possibly want. It lacks for nothing! Charismatic, believable leads; romantic storyline; and an incredibly evil/creepy villain. ALL the actors brought their A-game khổng lồ this one. It was one of those rare gems where they must have all just clicked & it translated lớn the screen. I loved everything about this drama- even the intro scene that shows the passage of time. You can tell that great care went into the making of drama right down lớn the smallest detail. I loved the flash backs that filled in the backstory. I loved the documentary feel when they interviewed the characters. I loved how the second male lead actually helped move the story forward and wasn"t clueless/innocent and certain aspects. That was refreshing. I especially loved the fact that Jun Ji Hyun was secure enough as an actress to lớn really show different aspects of her character & let you see the vulnerability & human-ness while still being egomaniacal and exasperating yet sweet và even goofy! I loved the internal/external monologues she would have with herself. I loved how the male lead"s class lectures were tied into that episode"s storyline. I loved his wild jealous imaginings. They"re the most adorable kdrama couple I"ve seen to date & the comedic timing on the facial expressions from the two leads was perfection. The clothing/costumes especially the female lead"s was perfection. Can you tell I have a lot love for this one yet?Seriously though, I"m re-watching this show for the 3rd time now và enjoying it immensely! Even though I know what"s going lớn happen I still have nail biting moments & I"ve noticed very small details that I believe I missed the first two times. The fantasy romance drama My Love From Another Star (2013-14) meant so much to lớn me that, even just thinking about it as I write this reviews (while listening to lớn the magnificent soundtrack on my computer), I tear up and feel an ache in my heart! I miss the characters so much, especially our lead couple: our handsome but cynical 400 year transient resident-on-earth space alien vì Min Joon (Kim Soo Hyun, Moon Embraces The Sun, Dream High), & strong-willed but delightfully funny prima donna actress tuy vậy Yi Cheon (Gianna Jun, The Legend Of The xanh Sea). This actor and actress had worked together before, on a 2012 film called The Thieves, & their sensual personal chemistry together was plain to see. I never wanted this drama to end & when it did I felt like someone in my family had died! I know I am not alone in my feelings. This show had Billions - not Millions - but Billions of hits around the world, on websites that aired it twice weekly, December through February 2013-14. It was a WORLDWIDE PHENOMENA. The traffic crashed computer servers that were hosting it! When Kim Soo Hyun traveled to đài loan trung quốc for a personal appearance while making this show he made 3 million won (Korean currency) & tickets were scalping for $5000 each, just so that people could get a glimpse of him! I knew there would be a spillover effect of interest in other superb Korean dramas once this one was finally over. America is producing NOTHING remotely as excellent as My Love From Another Star. Hollywood should be ashamed of themselves, year after year producing trash, while South Korea produces masterpiece after masterpiece!
The Story: Our show begins 400 years in the past, in feudal Korea. Hee Kyung begins khổng lồ suspect his brother has a dark side và his suspicions begin to lớn bring turmoil into his life và his family"s lives. Jae Kyung senses that people are catching on lớn him, including the police, his surviving brother Hee Kyung, và Do Min Joon and song Yi. He decides lớn target song Yi first, to get her out of the way, since she had overheard the last conversation between him & his girlfriend before he had killed her.
